My GP has been always great and helping me to be referred to hospital.
I have been on pretty much the same medication for over a decade. System at surgery automatically cancels repeat dispensing if perscription is due for review, leaving me without medication at serious risk to my health. What is more important - the risk of not tweaking my medication with immediate effect or running out of medication completely. The system is based on the former. Then when I do the review my blood pressure is abnormally high because I have missed the medication. What a farse The NHS really need to sort out these ludicrous systems and procedures.

I got a book on the day appointment straight away at 8.30am
This last visit was for blood tests and BP, and I made the appointment over internet as my previous appointment was cancelled, but last year I had paramedics sent out twice because I rang surgery and was told there was no appointments left and to ring 111, next thing there's an ambulance outside n 2 paramedics to be told I'd got a trapped nerve, what a waste of ambulance time. Most appointments I make are now done online but they're 4 weeks away, I drive for my job and most days I'm driving at 8.30 so I can't phone then. And when I can ring at 8.30 your 25th in the queue listening to horrendous music for half an hour to get through and be told no appointments left call back tomorrow

Had a telephone call from the surgery and was told an appointment would be made so I could discuss what I needed, 3 days later no phone call.
Also did the new online form for another reason, did what the doctor told me to do , still waiting for a response it’s been 5 days. Total joke!
Last time I physically went to surgery the receptionist was very abrupt! In my opinion not fitted to her role at all.
Obviously will try AGAIN, think it’s time to look for another practice.
